Forbes Magazine surveyed illegal pot smokers in all states (including legal smokers in Washington, Colorado, and Alaska) and found that pot is cheapest in Oregon, at an average of $204 an ounce. It’s $232 and ounce in Washington, $242 an ounce in California. Pot becomes legal in Oregon in July, and lawmakers are working to make it more expensive. They want to more tightly regulate medical marijuana, so not as much of it is sold on street corners by Spike and Snake, and more pot smokers have to buy heavily taxed OLCC pot.
